Happy New Year to all the Ladybugs!

As we reported in July, we are thrilled to have Head Coach Kevin Fisher returning for the 2026 season. We are seeking Assistant Coach candidates and hope that our parents and swimmers will spread the word about our community and encourage potential candidates to apply! 

Please note - like in 2025, Assistant Coaches will coach all levels of Bugs (there will be no separate Pre-Team coaches).

Garrett Park Ladybugs Seek 2026 Assistant Coaches

The Garrett Park Ladybugs, led by Head Coach Kevin Fisher, are hiring multiple assistant coaches for the 2026 season (competing in Division H). The Ladybugs are a fun and friendly team with 180+ swimmers of all abilities, lots of family support, and a long history of enthusiastic participation in the MCSL.

We seek Assistant Coaches who are spirited, dedicated, strong swimmers who align with the team goals of providing an opportunity for swimmers of all ages to have fun, build confidence and healthy bodies, and learn teamwork and good sportsmanship through competitive swimming.

Job Requirements and Expectations:

  • Competitive swimming background
  • Solid knowledge of and experience with teaching all four competitive strokes
  • Ability to create and run different levels of practices based on the age and ability of the swimmers
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills - must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with the Head Coach, team representatives, swim team parents, and swimmers of all abilities
  • Current certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR with AED, and First Aid
  • Very engaged in the team and with the swimmers to create a fun, rewarding experience for all team members
  • Assist Head Coach at daily morning and afternoon/evening practices from Memorial Day through All-Star Weekend Assist Head Coach at all swim meets throughout the season from Time Trials through All-Stars
  • Participate in weekly team-building activities
  • Knowledge of MCSL policies, rules, and procedures
  • Must be at least 19 years old or graduated high school no later than 2025

Salary competitive and based on experience. Employment managed by Georgetown Aquatics.
