B Meets

  • Entry Rules
    • Swimmers are allowed to swim an event in a B meet if:
      1. They did not qualify for that event in an A meet.
      2. They placed lower than 4th in that event in the previous A meet.

*If a swimmer has swum 3 to 4 events in an A meet, and they placed 4th or above in all their events, they cannot swim in the following B meet*

These rules reset every week after each A meet & and the coach reserves the right to make exceptions.

  • These meets give all swimmers a chance to compete and establish seeding times for A-Meets.
  • There are no relays.
  • There is no score kept.
  • Swimmers should remain in the team area during the meet.
  • It is important to declare your swimmer (available or not available) for each meet they plan to attend. The coach makes line-ups based on declared available swimmers.
  • Meet information will be communicated through email, website/app and social media.
  • Because of noise restrictions in the neighborhood, GPST home B meets have to switch to a non-amplified starting system (whistle and flashlight) after 9:00 and thus have an earlier start time than some away B meets.
