(The parking lot will be for pass holders only and will be monitored!). Ladybug Team Brunch after meet: Einstein Bagels, 8542 Connecticut Ave Ste A, Chevy Chase, MD 20815 Meet Timeline: Swimmers Arrive: no later than 7:25am - gather in parking lot to walk in together Volunteers: Check in with A reps by 8:10am Garrett Park warm-up: 7:40am - 8:00am Stroke & Turn Briefing: 8:20am Timers & Take-off Judges Briefing: 8:30 AM Ref/Reps/Coaches Meeting: 8:50am Meet Start: 9:00am Coach & Parent Relays: Stay through the end of the meet to cheer on Tommy, Caroline, Sophia, and Leo in the Coaches Relay and Dietz Conze, Margaret Conze, Dave Goldberg, and Kate Fritz in the Parents Relay! Garrett Park Team Area: The team area is next to basketball courts along the lap pool (first ½ of the area) - team areas will be roped off and labeled. Please bring chairs. We will have the 2 team tents and the area is a bit shaded. Concessions: The shark bite cafe will be open with a full menu - breakfast and grill items as well as drinks. Cash or credit. Programs will not be sold. |

Theme: Prom Parking: There is plenty of parking, however, if the parking lot is full, you can also park next door at Kingsview Middle School. **NOTE from Germantown - backstroke flags are at 5 yards, rather than 5 meters*** Meet Timeline: Swimmers Arrive: no later than8:05am - gather in parking lot to walk in together Volunteers: Check in with Areps by 8:15am Garrett Park warm-up: 8:20 AM - 8:40 AM Officials Briefing: 8:30 AM - automation by the lifeguard station Timers Briefing: 8:45 AM - near the clerk of course Scratch Meeting: 8:50 AM - automation by the lifeguard station Garrett Park Team Area: The team area is at the far end/start end of the competition pool. The team spectator area is between the competition and play pool. Please bring chairs and (if you have) tents for shade. Concessions: The Torpedoes will have a full concessions stand open when your families start to arrive with plenty of breakfast items (i.e. Chick-Fil-A Sausage & Chicken Biscuits, Fruit Salad, Donuts, Cup of Noodles, etc.) available, as well as, ice cream and drinks (i.e. water, juice, coffee). It is important that there is always enough clearance for emergency vehicles to get through. Friday Activity: Tie-Dye/Dessert Contest

Creativity with be on full display in our very first combined Dessert Competition/Tie-dye extravaganza this Friday, 06/30 at 5pm!
Contest: All swimmers are invited to enter a uniquely crafted dessert as an individual or in collaboration with other team members. Our elite panel of judges will taste test the submissions and award winners in a host of befitting categories. Once the judging has wrapped, swimmers will have a chance to feast on all of the entries. You might make it big, make it ugly, or make it scrumptious… but whichever direction you choose to head, make it fun! #nailedit Location: Set up for BOTH events are planned for the picnic tables on the hill. Desserts should be labeled with the name(s) of their creator(s) and ready for tasting @5pm on Friday, 6/30/23. Contest Notes:

Declare attendance and select events by Monday, 6/26 at 10:00pm. Theme: Decades 15-18s 2000s 13-14s- 90s 11-12s- 80s 9-10s- 70s 8&unders- 60s Please meet outside of North Chevy Chase by 5:10pm. We walk in as a team at 5:20pm, warm-ups are from 5:25-5:50 and the meet starts at 6:00pm. Volunteers should arrive by 5:30 and check in with Megan or Elizabeth in the team area. Parking: Feel free to park in the lot. If the lot is full, folks can park on the street near the pool - there are plenty of close side streets that are very safe for cars and walking to the pool. Concessions: The Shark Bite Cafe will be open and the grill should be going! Team Area: When you walk into the facility, our team area will be on the left next to the lap pool (4 lane pool next to competition pool). There is plenty of space. There also should be lawn chairs, etc., available, but there is space if you want to bring your own chairs. This area is reasonably well shaded by trees but there is room for tents if you want to bring them. |
